I love using my papercrafting supplies to decorate my home for the season. This banner takes just less than an hour and you can enjoy the finished results for an entire season.

Made by: Grace Tolman
Time: Approximately 45 minutes
Level: Intermediate

Here's what you need:

  • Glue Dots® Mini Dots™
  • Glue Dots® Permanent Dots™
  • Glue Dots® Glue Squares®
  • Burlap Sheets
  • Cardstock- (Teal and White) Die Cuts With a View
  • Pattern papers- (brown) Lawn Fawn; (Text) Source Unknown
  • Cut file- (frame) Silhouette Store; (others) Scrapbook and Cards Today
  • Flowers and leaves- Recollections, Michael’s Craft Store
  • Pearls- Eyelet Outlet
  • Trim- Crochet thread, Hobby Lobby
  • Sewing Thread- Coats and Clark
  • Die cut machine- Cameo, Sihouette
  • Pen- Brown, Creative Memories
  • Sewing machine- Kenmore
  • Hole puncher- Crop-a-dile, We R Memory Keepers
  • Ruler
  • Pen
  • Scissors

Here's what you do:

Cut the burlap sheets into 4" x 6" panels. Cut one long end of them into a notch.

Punch a hole on the top edges of the panels using the crop-a-dile.

Optional: Add some machine stitching on the inside edges of the panels.  I just did it to secure the burlap in place since burlap tends to fray.

Cut the blocks of words and accents using the cut files and die cut machine.

Adhere the word blocks onto white cardstock using Mini Dots. Trim the excess.

Add pen stitching on the inside of the oval cut.

Adhere all of the paper accents onto the center of the panels using Glue Squares.

Decorate each panel even more with leaves and flowers using Mini Dots and Permanent Dots.

Add the pearls on the panels.

Connect each panel together using some crochet thread. Add a long piece of trim on each end to hang the banner up.

Tip: Use Glue Dots® Flexible Hang Tabs to hang the banner up temporarily.
