Part of the fun of the holiday season is the anticipation leading up to Christmas. And this Christmas Countdown project is the perfect way to make that daily anticipation that much more fun and festive! All it takes is a few small gifts, some wrapping paper, and your trusty Glue Dots to create these goody-filled containers that’ll make every day before Christmas a celebration in it of itself. Enjoy!

Directions:

  1. Cut patterned paper to 6” x 4 ¾”. Repeat this step for a total of 25 pieces of patterned paper.

  2. Use your Glue Dots® Permanent GlueTape to add adhesive to one short side and both long sides.

  3. Roll a tube, overlapping short sides. Press firmly along the seam to seal.

  4. Pinch the top shut horizontally.

  5. Stuff the container with a small gift (candy, money, toys).

  6. Pinch the bottom of the container shut vertically.

  7. Use your Glue Dots® Pop-Up Dots to add a countdown number to the calendar.

  8. Repeat until you have 25 countdown containers.
  9. There are lots of ways to use these countdown containers. Personalize them to your holiday celebrations. Put them out daily on the recipient’s dinner plate, place a week’s worth out in a pretty box, or display all 25 in a display frame!
