Part of the fun of Christmas is the anticipation. This Christmas Countdown is a fun way to keep track of the days until Christmas. Put a small gift (candy, money, toys) in each container to build anticipation for Christmas.
MADE BY: SAMANTHA TAYLOR | TIME: 60-90 MINUTES
LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE | SIZE: INDIVIDUAL CONTAINERS ARE ABOUT 3” x 4 ¾”
Supplies:
- Glue Dots Glue Lines®
- Patterned Paper: 25 - 6” x 6” pieces or 7 – 12” x 12” pieces
- Paper Trimmer
- Numbers 1 - 25
Directions:
- Cut patterned paper to 6” x 4 ¾”. Repeat this step for a total of 25 pieces of patterned paper.
- Use Glue Dots Glue Lines® to add adhesive to one short side and both long sides.
- Roll a tube, overlapping short sides. Press firmly along the seam to seal.
- Pinch the top shut horizontally.
- Stuff the container with a small gift.
- Pinch the bottom of the container shut vertically.
- Use Glue Dots Glue Lines® to add a countdown number to the calendar.
- Repeat until you have 25 countdown containers.
Notes: There are lots of ways to use these countdown containers. Personalize them to your holiday celebrations. Put them out daily on the recipient’s dinner plate, place a week’s worth out in a pretty box, or display all 25 in a display frame.
