You don't need to have a craft stash to create chipboard ornaments. All you need are Glue Dots, chipboard shapes, patterned paper and embellishments to make these altered chipboard ornaments from Designer Grace.
Designed by: Grace Tolman
Time: 60 minutes
Level: Intermediate
Supplies:
Directions:
- Cover both sides of the chipboard shapes with patterned paper. Trim excess and distress the edges for a finished look.
- Create paper rosettes: (a) Punch out a decorative edge on one edge of a 12” x 1 ½” strip of paper. (b) Score the paper every ½”, fold accordion style and adhere the ends together with Ultra Thin Glue Dots to create a circle. (c) Peel off the liner of an XL Glue Dot and press the center of the rosette onto the adhesive.
- Punch a circle and adhere it on top of the rosette with XL Glue Dots.
- Peel off the back liner on the XL Glue Dot and press the rosette onto the ornament.
- Use Mini Glue Dots to add embellishments.
- Punch out a hole on the top of the ornaments, thread twine through and tie to create loop.
The best part? Make memories at home by having your kids decorate their own chipboard ornaments! They can make them for the tree or grandparents.
