You're invited to our Bow Tie Baby shower! We'll start with Bow Tie invitations designed by Grace Tolman and will continue on to bow tie cupcake toppers and straw accents. Once your bow ties are made, the sky is the limit as to how you can decorate your baby shower! These cute ideas will help you get started.

Time: 20 minutes
Level: Beginner

Here's what you need:

Here's what you do:

  1. Create the card base from patterned paper measuring 4” x 6” with a fold on the side.
  2. Cut a piece of coordinating patterned paper to 3 3/4" x 5 3/4” and adhere to the center of the card with Ultra-Thin Glue Dots.
  3. Add pen stitching around the inside edge of the paper.
  4. Create three bow ties from pattern paper. Start with a strip of paper measuring 1 1/2" x 7” (for the larger bow) and 3/4” x 4 1/2” (for the smaller bow). Fold one end to the center of the paper strip and adhere with Mini Glue Dots. Repeat the same fold for the other side.
  5. Starting from one edge, make a cut towards the center of the folded piece. Do not cut all the way; leave the center about 1/2” wide. Repeat the cutting process for the rest of the edges.
  6. Cut a strip of the same paper measuring 1/2” wide and 1” long. Wrap the small strip around the center of the bow and adhere the ends on the back using Mini Glue Dots. Trim any excess.
  7. Finish by adding rhinestones to the center of the bow ties with Mini Glue Dots.
  8. Adhere the bows onto the card with Pop Up Glue Dots.
  9. Print invitation wording onto ivory cardstock and cut into strips about 1/2" wide and 4” long. Adjust as needed for word length.
  10. Notch the ends of the strips with wording and adhere to the card between the bow ties with Mini Glue Dots.
