Baby Shower - Bow Tie Accents

Designer Grace is on our blog today with bow tie straw accents for a bow tie themed baby shower.  The best part? All of the materials are available at Hobby Lobby.

Here's what you need:

• Mini Glue Dots®
• Paper straws
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Patterned paper
• Rhinestones

Here's what you do:

1. Start with a strip of patterned paper measuring 1 1/2” x 7”. Fold one end to the center of the paper strip and adhere with Mini Glue Dots. Repeat the same fold for the other side.
2. Starting from one edge, make a cut towards the center of the folded piece. Do not cut all the way; leave the center about 1/2” wide. Repeat the cutting process for the rest of the edges.
3. Cut a strip of the same paper measuring 1/2” wide and 1” long. Wrap the small strip around the center of the bow and adhere the ends on the back using Mini Glue Dots. Trim any excess.
4. Finish by adding rhinestones to the center of the bow ties with Mini Glue Dots.
5. Adhere the paper bow ties to the straws with Mini Glue Dots.
6. Repeat the process until you have enough bow ties for the straws.
