I'm so excited that fall is finally here! Just the thought of the leaves turning color makes me smile!

I had so much fun making this simple little fall project and wanted to share with you how easy this DIY fall project was to make.

Here's what you need:

  • Permanent Glue Dots® (New Stitch Glue Squares® work great too!)
  • Removable Glue Dots® (Optional)
  • Stretched Canvas (size of your choice. I used one that was 11" x 16").
  • Brown and black paint.
  • Leaves
  • Small twig/branch
  • Rag or Sponge

Here's what you do:

  1. First thing you will do is paint your canvas brown. I used spray paint for mine and it went so fast!
  2. After your canvas is dry from painting it brown, add a touch of black to a few areas, just to give it a more marbled look and more depth.
  3. Now you're ready to start placing the leaves onto your canvas. (Optional: If you want to use Removable Glue Dots at first, they help to temporarily hold them in place and make it easy to move them still.) I used the Permanent Glue Dots to adhere the leaves onto the canvas.
  4. Last thing you want to do is to adhere the twig/branch onto the canvas as well.
  5. Display and enjoy those fall colors that you can now see INSIDE your house as well as out!

Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. I love seeing all of the reds, oranges, and browns in my house!
