I'm so excited that fall is finally here! Just the thought of the leaves turning color makes me smile!
I had so much fun making this simple little fall project and wanted to share with you how easy this DIY fall project was to make.
Here's what you need:
- Permanent Glue Dots® (New Stitch Glue Squares® work great too!)
- Removable Glue Dots® (Optional)
- Stretched Canvas (size of your choice. I used one that was 11" x 16").
- Brown and black paint.
- Leaves
- Small twig/branch
- Rag or Sponge
Here's what you do:
- First thing you will do is paint your canvas brown. I used spray paint for mine and it went so fast!
- After your canvas is dry from painting it brown, add a touch of black to a few areas, just to give it a more marbled look and more depth.
- Now you're ready to start placing the leaves onto your canvas. (Optional: If you want to use Removable Glue Dots at first, they help to temporarily hold them in place and make it easy to move them still.) I used the Permanent Glue Dots to adhere the leaves onto the canvas.
- Last thing you want to do is to adhere the twig/branch onto the canvas as well.
- Display and enjoy those fall colors that you can now see INSIDE your house as well as out!
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. I love seeing all of the reds, oranges, and browns in my house!
