Gift Bow Tutorial - The Fancy Bow

Welcome to part one of our three-part Gift Bow blog series!

Our three-part series provides you with three unique, creative gift bow tutorials that will add flair and personality to your gifts.  The best part? Each bow takes under 10 minutes to create!

These three bows are merry & bright, will make your packages quite the sight!

Before You Begin: Select patterned paper or cardstock that coordinates with your gift wrap. This will make your gifts eye-catching and enticing.

The first bow in our three-part series is...

"The Fancy Bow"

Time: 5 Minutes

Level: Intermediate

Supplies:

Directions:

  1. Cut four pieces of cardstock to these dimensions: 5/8" x 8 1/2" (bow), 1" x 5" (base), 1" x 3" (bottom wrap), and 4/8" x 2" (top wrap).
  2. Notch or cut banner edges into the ends of the 1" x 5" strip of paper.
  3. Take the 5/8" x 8 1/2" strip and create a loop by adhering
    the ends together in middle on the back side with Craft Glue Dots.  Center the loop in the middle of 1" x 5" base and adhere with Craft Glue Dots.
  4. Wrap the 1" x 3" piece of cardstock around the middle of the bow and adhere on the back with Craft Glue Dots.
  5. Wrap the smaller 4/8" x 2" piece of cardstock around the center of the first wrap and adhere on the back with Craft Glue Dots. Trim excess paper off.
  6. Adhere bow to gift with Craft or Permanent  Glue Dots.
