School's finally out, which means a lot of family vacations, road trips and boredom busting! Creative Maker Robyn shows you how to make  a quick and easy summer board game with Glue Dots, magnets, and a few extra supplies from the dollar store.

We are so excited that summer vacation is finally here! No more early mornings and lots of fun planned. Today I have a fun and really easy magnetic summer game board that you can make with your kids that is great for some lazy day summer fun AND for those summer road trips! You need very few supplies and only two steps to make this.

Here's what you need:

  • Permanent Glue DotsĀ®
  • Small metal tray or cookie sheet (I found mine in the wedding section at a dollar store.)
  • Magnets
  • Jewels, googly eyes, and or buttons
  • Washi tape
  • Scissors

Here's what you do:

Cut four strips from your washi tape and apply onto your metal tray.

Use your Permanent Glue Dots to adhere magnets to the back of your playing pieces (buttons, jewels, or googly eyes).

That's it!

I love that the pieces are magnetic, so that they don't fall off in the car on road trips. The kids love the fun playing pieces and don't mind playing this over and over. Summer fun for any day!
