I love using themed products to match the event that I’m scrapbooking. In this page, I also tried a hot trend right now, which is to make a shaker accent.

Here's what you need:

Here's what you do:

  1. Cut a 11 ¾” square piece from white cardstock and adhere over the black pattern paper to create a frame for the page. Adhere together using Stitch Glue Squares.
  2. Cut the black and white heart print into a 5 ½" x 11 ½” piece. Adhere to the right side of the page with more Stitch Glue Squares.
  3. Choose 5 coordinating patterns from a coordinating 6" x 6" paper pad. Cut each one into a 6 ¼" x 6 ¼" x 5 ¾” triangle. Cut two in half. Arrange the half triangle pieces on the top and bottom of the right side of the page. Arrange the other triangles, alternating the directions of the triangle points in between. Adhere to the page with Stitch Glue Squares.
  4. Cut the dotted paper into two 6 ¾” pieces. Adhere to the center of the page, vertically with more Stitch Glue Squares.
  5. Using some Gesso and the stencil, add some texture to the paper background. Add the Gesso in three different parts of the page to create a visual triangle. Set aside to dry.
  6. Meanwhile, turn on the die cut machine and create two hearts measuring 4 x 4 ¼”. Create a “window” on one of the hearts. Pick your papers and cut the shapes with the machine.
  7. Using the large full heart and the one with a window in the center, create a shaker accent for your layout. Cut a piece of plastic sheet the same size as the heart. Adhere the edges of it onto the inside of the window shape using Ultra-Thin Glue Dots.
  8. Place some itty bitty hearts in the center of the other large heart. Add more Ultra-Thin Glue Dots to the back side of the plastic sheet and place over the large heart (with confetti in the center) to create the shaker accent.
  9. Once the gesso is dry, start adhering the pictures to the layout. I used 4 3" x 4" images. Attach them with Ultra-Thin Glue Dots. I adhered the pink scallop sticker on three different parts of the layout (left edge, right next to the photo and on the bottom right edge of the layout).
  10. Adhere the shaker accent on the top left of the page using Pop Up Glue Dots.
  11. Adhere the smaller heart (leftover from creating the shaker accent) onto the bottom right of the page using Stitch Glue Squares. Add the glittered title. Stamp the words “my valentine” onto a piece of pink cardstock with a width of ½”. Trim excess and adhere to the bottom of the title with Pop Up Glue Dots.
  12. Handwrite the journaling on ¼” strips of white paper and adhere onto the heart with Mini Glue Dots.
