Decorate a simple jar with festive colors and embellishments to create a joyous treat jar for the holiday season. Designer Grace shows you how to decorate a jar for a quick and easy gift for friends, family or neighbors.

I dressed up a jar to hold some holiday treats and sweets using some adhesive from the Everyday adhesive line.
Here's what you need:
- Removable Glue Dots®
- Permanent Glue Dots®
- Medium Sized Jar
- Pattern paper- Countdown to Christmas, 6" x 6" mini prints, Bazzill Basics Paper
- Letter Stickers
- Wood Buttons
- Ribbon
- Glittered RicRac Sticker
- Red Twine
- Scallop circle die cut- Nestabilities, Spellbinders
- 1 ¾” Circle punch
- Scissors
- Paper trimmer
Here's what you do:
- Trace the circle lid onto pattern paper. Cut out the circle and adhere to the top of the lid using some Permanent Glue Dots.
- Cut two 6 x 1 ¼” pieces of red pattern paper, Adhere one side over each other making one longer strip using . Add the ricrac sticker on the center and adhere around the center of the jar using Removable Glue Dots.
- Layer a punched out circle green patter paper over the scallop die cut circle adhering with Permanent Glue Dots. Add the letter stickers to spell out “joy” and adhere to the center of the jar using some Removable Glue Dots.
- Cover the lid with red plaid ribbon. Adhere this with Removable Glue Dots. Tie a bow with the remaining ribbon; adhere to the center of the jar, just above the “joy” title with Permanent Glue Dots®. Thread some twine through the button and adhere to the center of the bow using more Permanent Glue Dots.
- Fill the jar with holiday goodies and treats.
