10 Fun & Fast Tips to Help You "Make It" This Holiday Season

The holidays have officially arrived! Now, take a deep breath and relax.  We have 10 fun and fast tips to help you "make it" this holiday season.

To help you stay focused on having fun with friends and family, we've put together 10 fun and fast tips to help you get your gifts in order and prepare your home.

DIY Gift Bow

#1. DIY Gift Bows -  If you’re going to use the store bought, adhesive backed bows, you’ll want to keep Permanent Glue Dots® near by.  When the kids start riffling through the presents trying to guess what’s inside, the bows will probably be the first things to fall off – make sure they don’t by reinforcing them with Permanent Glue Dots. Give your gifts a unique look by creating your own gift bows! Click here for a DIY Gift Bow Tutorial.

#2. Gift TagsPrintable Gift Tag - Give your gifts a little personality with our free gift tag printable.  Click here to download and print.  Cut them out and assemble with Permanent Glue Dots. Adhere to your presents with Permanent Glue Dots too so they don't fall off.

Upcycled Gift Bags#3. Last Minute Gift Wrap - Cut strips of wrapping paper and adhere them to plain paper gift bags (or recycled shopping bags) with Permanent Glue Dots. Adhere the paper and ribbon to the bag, add present, tissue paper, and you're done!

Hold Gift Cards in Place with Removable Glue Dots#4. Gift Cards - Did sister Gwen bring her on-again, off-again boyfriend to dinner? If you feel obligated to get a quick gift card from the local gas station, secure it to the inside of a general holiday card with Removable Glue Dots.  Now you can spend the rest of your evening looking like a rock star for your thoughtfulness.

Fix Crooked Picture Frame#5. Crooked Picture Frames - Why do family members feel the urge to touch pictures on the wall? Prevent pictures from moving by using Poster Glue Dots to adhere the corners of the picture frame to the wall. When Uncle Al has had too much eggnog and accidentally knocks into the picture of Miffy, it won't shift to the side and your mind can rest in peace. Tip: Use it to hold small knick-knacks on the mantle or shelves around your home too to prevent accidents.

Adhere Furniture Felt Pads with Glue Dots#6. Replace Felt Pads on Furniture Feet - It's time to bring out every spare chair from around the house so everyone has a seat for dinner. Make sure the chairs don't scratch your floors by adhering felt furniture pads to the feet with Permanent Glue Dots. Tip: Replace old furniture pads with new ones on to prevent additional damage to the floors.

Cooler Sign

#7. Beverage Cooler - Keep unwanted guests out of the kitchen by putting specific beverages in a cooler with a sign. Create a quick sign using your computer and adhere to the outside of the cooler with Removable Glue Dots. Tip: Put the cooler in a location that's easily accessible to guests and out of your way.

Candy Cane Place Card Holder

#8. Place Settings - Whether it's red button issues or general dislike, there are certain family members who should not be seated next to each other at the dinner table. Avoid uncomfortable conversations and awkward silence by creating place cards. Use Permanent Glue Dots to adhere three candy canes together for a cute and festive place card holder. Now Aunts Ethel and Shirley can gossip about the golden days without little Timmy stuck in the middle.

Fix Broken Ornaments or Decor

#9. Fix Ornaments or Holiday Decor - Do the boys like to wrestle or toss the pigskin inside the house?  Use Permanent Glue Dots to quickly fix any broken ornaments or home decor items as a result of rowdy play or clumsiness. Tip: Use Poster or Removable Glue Dots to hold small knick-knacks in place on the mantle or shelves around your home to prevent accidents.

Glue Dots Coat Room Sign#10. Assign a Coat Room - Don't give nosy family members the opportunity to rummage through your home by designating a coat room.  To make it easy, we're giving you a free coat room sign! Click here to download and print off. Adhere to the front of the designated Coat Room with Poster Glue Dots. After all, we don't want Uncle Fred stumbling into your home office or the nursery with a sleeping baby looking for his coat.
