Designer Grace shows you how easy it is to turn a gift bag from drab to Merry Christmas fab!
Time: Approximately 25 minutes
Level: Beginner
Size: 5 ¼” x 3” x 12”
Altering paper bags are an easy way to add a homemade touch to your holiday gifts. I added some sequins around the bag to add some dimension as well.
Here's what you need:
Here's what you do:
- Cut a piece of green diamond pattern paper measuring 6" x 5" and adhere to the bottom of the bag using 1” Glue Lines.
- Cut the black Christmas text paper to 5" x 2” and adhere to the top of the bag.
- Punch a scallop edge from red paper and cut it into a 5" x 1” strip. Adhere it between the other two papers using 1” Glue Lines.
- Stamp the sentiment onto silver cardstock. Cut into a strip, adding a notch on the right side. Adhere onto the bag using more 1” Glue Lines.
- Punch out two big and one small flower shapes from pattern paper. Ink the edges and curl up the ends to add more dimensions. Adhere over each other using Pop Up Glue Dots.
- Thread some twine through the glittered button and adhere to the center of the flower accent using Craft Glue Dots.
- Finally, add some sequins around the bag using Mini Glue Dots.
Fill with a present and you're done!
Happy Holidays,
~Grace
