A little glitter, a few embellishments and LOTS of Glue Dots make this Noel banner a beautiful addition to any mantel or holiday home decor.
Time: 60 Minutes
Level: Intermediate
Supplies:
Directions:
- Cut patterned paper into four 9” x 7” banner rectangles.
- Using the border punch, punch a decorative border around the sides and bottom.
- Cut four more banner rectangles a little smaller than 9” x 7” using a complementary piece of patterned paper.
- Layer the smaller banner pieces on top of the bigger banner pieces using Ultra Thin Glue Dots.
- Roughly cut four 4” x 5” pieces of canvas.
- Roughly cut four 4” x 6” pieces of burlap and layer offset onto canvas pieces with XXL Glue Dots.
- Once the burlap and canvas are adhered together, offset and adhere the canvas to the banner using 1” Glue Lines.
- Cut triangle shapes from canvas and patterned paper, making sure the patterned paper triangles are smaller than the canvas. Using 1” Glue Lines, adhere the patterned paper triangle on top of the canvas triangle and adhere triangles to banners.
- Create rosettes from patterned cardstock: (a) cut a strip of paper to 12” x 1 ½” and score every ½”; (b) fold piece of paper accordion style and adhere the ends together with Ultra Thin Glue Dots to create a circle; (c) peel off the liner of an XL Glue Dot and press the center of the rosette onto the adhesive. Peel off the other liner on the XL Glue Dot and overlap it onto the canvas triangle and burlap.
- Punch a 1” circle from patterned paper and adhere it on to the front of the rosette with XL Glue Dots.
- Paint tops of letters with green paint and let dry.
- Add gold glitter for added dimension with 1” Glue Lines around edges and sides.
- Use 1” Glue Lines to adhere finished letters to banner pieces.
