Create an ombre colored cork board to hang jewelry, a favorite photo, concert tickets and more! Designer Danielle shows you how.
Every dorm room needs a splash of color and a place for special things. Here's how you can brighten your dorm room with an ombre cork board by transforming old corks (or new ones) into a one-of-kind message board for your space.

Supplies:
Directions:
- Attach a picture hanger to back of wood with hammer and nails.
- Use a sharp knife to cut corks in half. Keep the top half of each wine cork.
- Adhere All Purpose Glue Dots® to top half of the cut corks and press them firmly to the wood for a secure bond.
- Apply 2 coats of white acrylic paint over entire project and a third coat to the top row of corks.
- Mix a little blue acrylic paint with the white and paint the second row of corks.
- Add additional blue acrylic paint to the mix and apply to the third row of corks.
- Create a darker blue mix and apply to the fourth row of corks. Set aside to dry.
- Use Mini Glue Dots® to adhere buttons to each push-pin and press pins into corks to hold keepsakes in place.
