Add scraps of fabric to your holiday cards to create ruffles! Designer Donna is on our blog to show you how easy it is.

Here's what you need:

Here's what you do:

  1. Cut 8 1/2" X 11" in half for the base of card 4 1/4" X 11". Score and fold.
  2. Cut pattern paper for background 4" X 5 1/4". Adhere to base using 1" Glue Lines.
  3. Cut and emboss 1/4" strip of crab apple dark and adhere to side of card using 1" Glue Lines.
  4. Cut two strips 1 1/2" X 6" of three different pattern papers. (Could be 1 each at 1 1/2" X 12")
  5. Distress bottom edge of each piece. (Optional)
  6. Crumple your first pattern paper as if you were gathering fabric. Adhere to bottom of card. Add second and third layer the same way.
  7. Adhere lace over top of ruffle using Micro Glue Dots.
  8. Cut tag out and adhere using Pop Up Glue Dots.
  9. Embellish with metal sticker using a Micro Glue Dots for extra strength.
