Create Sequin Embellishments with All Purpose Glue Dots

Designer Samantha returns to our blog with a quick easy way to add sequin embellishments to your school notebooks.

What’s more fun than customizing journals, notepads, and planners to your own style (in fact this technique can even work on pencil boxes, cases, and pouches, too).  I love sequins but there’s no way I’m going to sew them all on. With new All Purpose Glue Dots, there’s no need to!

Time: 10 – 15 minutes per shape
Level: Beginner

Supplies:

Directions:

  1. Use Removable Glue Dots to attach a stencil to your notepad, pencil box, etc. I created my heart stencil from a scrap piece of paper.
  2. Attach All Purpose Glue Dots to the notepad, inside the stencil space.
  3. Press sequins onto the adhesive.
  4. Remove stencil.
  5. Optional: Trace around shape with a paint pen.

While I used a single small shape (because my notepad was small), you could use multiple shapes to cover a larger area. Since All Purpose Glue Dots work on plastic, fabric, metal, and wood, you can add a sequin embellishment to just about any school supply!

Thanks for stopping by!
