Please note that this is a Cricut project that requires the use of a Cricut Explore machine and Cricut Design Space.

Here's what you need:

Here's what you do:

Open up Cricut Design Space on your preferred device.

Begin a new project. Click "Insert Images".

The Christmas tree used in this project is image number #M2E668DC. Of course, any traditional Christmas tree image that you like from Cricut Design Space would make a great image for this project if you so choose.

Drop the Christmas tree shape into the project canvas.

Select the image and click "Ungroup".

Remove the Christmas tree half that contains the holes and writing.

Resize the remaining Christmas tree to 5.533" in width, keeping the height proportional. This is a good size for gift cards.

Duplicate the tree.

Use a rectangle shape and the slice tool to remove the top and middle portions of the tree. The remaining portion of the tree should be 2.462" in height.

Cut the Christmas tree shapes using the Cricut Explore Air 2, the Cricut Standard Grip Cutting Mat, and the green card stock.

Apply Ultra-Thin Dots to the trunk and outer sides of the small Christmas tree portion.

Adhere the small Christmas tree portion to the full tree.

Tie the twine to the top of the Christmas tree shape to make a hanger.

Add gift card and give!

Let kids in on the gifting fun by allowing them to decorate the Christmas tree prior to gifting. Make many of these trees in a variety of colors for decorating, too!
