This banner is so quick to put together and can be made with just about any color combination you can dream up!
Made by: Amanda Tibbitts
Time: 45 mins – 1 hour
Level: Moderate Handiness
Supplies:
Directions:
Use the paper trimmer, and cut the metallic foil to the following measurements:
Metallic: 5” x 8”
If you picked a patterned style, make sure to trim the cardstock to match the way you want the pattern to flow once it’s on the banner.
Black cardstock: 3 ¾” x 7”
Foil cardstock: 3” x 5”
With the Alphabet Punch board cut out the numbers 2019. When making the number 1 and 9, start on the home button on the back side of the foil cardstock.
With the Banner Punch Board, cut the flag style banner on each of the 5” x 8” panels. Watch the pattern to make sure it flows upright before you cut your piece.
Once cut, punch holes using the top of the punch board.
Then, cut the same style banner with the 3 ¾” x 7” black cardstock pieces, do not use the hole punch on the black pieces.
Use the Permanent GlueTape to glue the black cardstock to the patterned metallic pieces, making sure that you place them a little under the holes that you punched into the tops.
Use the Pop-up Dots to add the numbers to the black on the banner. Use about 7-8 Dots per number. Embellish as desired. I added some self-adhesive gems to the corner on the black cardstock.
Thread the ribbon through the holes in each banner piece, stringing them together. Adjust as needed and leave some extra on each end to hang up.
This banner comes together in a flash and looks festive to ring in the New Year! Once you’ve celebrated and the party is over, the banner can fold up on itself for storage!
