No-Sew Halloween Eye Mask

Traditional Halloween eye masks can be difficult for little kids. Sometimes they do not fit correctly or the elastic stretches too much. This No-Sew Halloween Eye Mask provides an easier alternative without the use of fabric and a sewing machine.

Please note that this is a Cricut project that requires the use of a Cricut Explore machine and Cricut Design Space.

Here's what you need:

• Glue Dots® Craft Dots™
• Sunglasses
• Measuring tape
• Brown card stock or other color that coordinates with costume
• Cricut Explore Air 2
• Cricut Standard Grip Cutting Mat

Here's what you do:

Measure the length of the sunglasses. Jot this number down. Set the sunglasses aside.

Open up Cricut Design Space on your preferred device.

Begin a new project. Click “Insert Images.”

The eye mask used in this project is image number #M40C2B in Cricut Design Space. Of course, any eye mask image that you like from Cricut Design Space would make a great image for this project if you so choose.

Insert the eye mask into the project canvas.

Pull the eye mask image to approximately 1.5" in length LONGER than your measurement from Step 1. Make sure that the width will over the sunglasses. If not, use the “unlock” icon on the bottom left of the image to adjust this.

Apply the brown card stock to the Cricut Standard Grip Cutting Mat.

Cut the eye mask with the Cricut Explore Air 2.

Apply Craft Glue Dots to at least three points on the sunglasses.

Firmly press the card stock onto the front of the sunglasses, making sure that the eye holes are in the correct place for the wearer to see out of the eye mask and that the surface of the sunglasses are covered.

Eye masks are particularly great for smaller kids who do not want to wear an entire face mask. The eye mask can be worn plain or decorated with paint, markers, or feathers. The creative options are endless!
