Patriotic Streamer Craft for Kids
Posted on Jun 16, 2017 6:42:00 AM by Melanie EastLet kids make the decorations for this year’s Fourth of July Festivities. These fun Fourth of July streamers only require a few supplies that you may already have around the house. Create several of them for party décor or table decorations.
Made by: Melanie East
Time: 10 minutes
Level: Beginner
Size: Dependent on length of cut streamers
Here's what you need:
- Glue Dots® Craft Dots™
- Cardboard tube
- Paintbrush
- Crayola washable red paint
- Crayola washable blue paint
- Scissors
- White streamer roll
Here's what you do:
Paint the cardboard tube, alternating the red and blue paint. Let the paint dry completely.
Adhere Glue Dots® Crafts Dots to the outer lower edge of the tube.
Cut three white streamers in your desired length. The ones in this project are approximately a foot a piece.
Press the streamer edge onto the Craft Glue Dots.
This craft is good for preschoolers and younger elementary aged students. Use washable paint to minimize the mess to crafting surfaces and clothing. Optionally, provide star cut outs or “USA” letters with glue for the kids to place on the cardboard roll.
