Surprise the kids in your home with their very own rainbow and pot of gold! Colorful streamers will welcome in a bit of magic, a lot of luck, and maybe even a leprechaun this year. Remember to sprinkle some gold confetti in front of the door for added magic!

Made by: Dawn Mercedes Barrett
Time: 20 minutes
Level: Beginner
Size: Pot of gold is approximately 12 inches square. Streamer length varies.

Here's what you need:

  • Craft Glue Dots®
  • Poster Glue Dots®
  • 12” card stock to create a pattern
  • Crepe paper streamers: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple
  • Oly*fun: Lemon Drop, Hot Fudge
  • Optional: 12” card stock, St. Patty’s Day confetti
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Here's what you do:

First, fold the 12” paper in half to create a symmetrical pattern. Using a pencil, sketch out half a pot. Cut it out with scissors. Create a pattern for the gold pieces using a scrap of card stock.

Use the patterns to cut out a pot and gold coins out of the Oly*Fun. Hint: Use Removable Glue Dots to temporarily secure the pattern on the Oly*Fun. Then cut around the patterns.

Use Craft Glue Dots to secure the gold pieces to the top and side of the pot.

Use Poster Glue Dots to hang up streamers on the back of a door in a diagonal direction, layering them in rainbow order. Then add the pot of gold to the end of the rainbow.

Use Oly*Fun to create the pot of gold that will last year after year. Then all you need to do in future years is to rehang the streamers! You can also use 12” card stock to create the pot of gold.
