Whether you are Irish by heritage or just Irish for the Day, St. Paddy’s Day is always a great day to celebrate. Surprise someone with this pot of gold treat box filled with their favorite rainbow-colored candy. For this project, I’m not only using the Permanent Adhesive sheets with my die cutting machine, but I’m also using them as a way to invisibly attach my die cuts to a clear box.
Supply List:
- Glue Dots® Permanent Adhesive Sheets for Die Cutting
- Black Card Stock
- Green Card Stock
- Gold Glitter Paper
- Rainbow Colored Patterned Paper
- Rainbow Colored Candies
- Die Cutting Machine (I used a Silhouette Cameo)
- Cut files or dies for a pot of gold and a rainbow (I used Cut files 75090 and 39552)
- Clear Treat Box (mine measures about 2 ½” x 3 ½”)
Directions:
- Measure your box. If using a digital die cutting file, size your image to fit your box.
- Cut your card stock and patterned paper to fit your die cut size.
- Cut your Glue Dots® Adhesive Sheets to fit your card stock and patterned paper.
- Apply an Adhesive Sheet to the back side of each piece of card stock, and proceed to cut out the pot of gold and shamrock shapes.
- Peel off the liner and build the pot of gold. Attach the pot of gold to the treat box.
- Apply an Adhesive Sheet to the front side of the patterned paper, and proceed to cut out the rainbow shape.
- Peel off the liner and attach the rainbow to the back side of the treat box.
- Fill the treat box with rainbow colored candy.
I love that this adhesive is completely invisible and the die cuts stick firmly. These die cuts will not be slipping off the box any time soon! If you plan on making a bunch of these for a treat to share, you can use a smaller container or clear envelope. For a candy-free option, try stuffing the box with stickers or coins. Wishing you the luck o’ the Irish!
