Rustic Lighted Ornament

My daughter and I love making our ornaments for the holidays. This year we have a rustic theme decor in my house, so I decided to make some cute winter white ornaments. I love the look of winter white and rustic wood together. With very few supplies, you can make your own ornaments also.

Made by: Tammy Santana
Time: 20 minutes
Level: Intermediate

Here’s what you need:

  • Glue Dots® Permanent Dots™
  • Plastic clear ornament with hole cut in side (terrarium style)
  • Cotton balls
  • Miniature Christmas Tree
  • Small wood piece
  • Battery powered LED lights
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors

Here’s what you do:

Separate the cotton balls to make them look like snow drifts.

Secure a piece of cotton to the bottom of the ornament with a couple of Permanent Glue Dots.

Wrap the LED lights around the miniature Christmas tree and secure the battery pack with a couple of Permanent Glue Dots.

Place the tree inside the ornament and cover the battery pack with more cotton.

Place the wood piece on top of the cotton to look like a tree trunk.

Cut a 9 inch piece of ribbon and tie on the top of the ornament if you would like to hang your ornament on your tree.

That’s it! It’ so easy to assemble and it will look so cute either hanging on the tree or as holiday scene decor on a table.

Happy Holidays!
