MADE BY: AMANDA TIBBITTS   |   TIME: 45 MINUTES
LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED   |   SIZE: A2 Card

Supplies:

  • Glue Dots® All-Purpose Dots
  • Acrylic block
  • Scissors
  • Bone folder
  • A2 Card base 4 1/4" x 5 1/2”
  • Paper bow cut at 5” wide
  • Tag cut at 2” tall
  • Frame cut at 3 1/2” wide
  • 1” x 3 1/2” strip of cardstock
  • 1” x 4 3/5” strip of cardstock
  • Card mat cut at 4” x 5 1/4”
  • Scrap of acetate at least 3 1/2” wide
  • Thin confetti or sequins
  • Lawn Fawn 'Happy Birthday' stamp
  • Distress Ink in Black Soot
  • Stamp cleaner or baby wipes

Directions:

  1. Glue the acetate to the frame using Glue Dots® All-Purpose Dots. Trim off any excess acetate with the scissors so the acetate is flush to the frame.
  2. With the confetti or sequins, add a pile to the card mat. Spread them out a hair and keep placing the acetate frame on top to see where they fall.

  3. Add enough Glue Dots® All-Purpose Dots around the frame piece so the confetti won’t spill out as the card shakes. It’s okay if they overlap, and try to not get them on the inside of the acetate. Glue this piece to the card mat, keeping the confetti inside the window. Use the bone folder to really stick the frame down.
  4. Using some Glue Dots® All-Purpose Dots add the 4. 60” strip vertically over the acetate frame. Then glue the 3.5” strip horizontally along the frame.
  5. With the Distress Ink, stamp the ‘Happy Birthday’ on the 2” tag. Once dry, rub the tag directly on the ink pad to add a bit of ink around the edges.
  6. Next, assemble the paper bow: with one Glue Dots® All Purpose Dot on each end of the bow, glue the ends in the middle. Then use one more on the outside of the bow to stick to the tails. The middle piece goes around the bow and the tails. Use 3 Glue Dots® All Purpose to glue the bow to the horizontal strip on the frame.
  7. Use one Glue Dots® All-Purpose Dot on the stamped tag and adhere it just under the tails of the bow. Shake the card a bit to get the confetti going and your card is done!
