Here's what you need:

  • Glue Dots® Glue Lines™
  • Glue Dots® Permanent Dots™ or All Purpose Dots™
  • 8 1/4" x 10 3/4" unfinished wood tray
  • Deco Art Media acrylic fluid paint (metallic silver, carbon black)
  • Deco Art Media crackle paste (white)
  • Deco Art decoupage (gloss)
  • Stampendous micro glitter (silver)
  • Crafter's Square deco mesh tubing (purple)
  • Fake spider
  • DCWV cardstock (purple)
  • Cardboard
  • Pipe cleaner (purple)
  • Wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors
  • Paper trimmer
  • Staple gun
  • Hammer
  • Paint/foam brushes

Here's what you do:

Apply light coat of silver paint onto tray. Let dry.

Lightly mix together 3 tablespoons of crackle paste and 15-20 drops of black paint. Mix should be darker than silver paint.

Dab the stucco-like mixture onto tray with a paintbrush and let dry overnight.

Cut a 14" piece of deco mesh tubing and use Permanent Glue Dots® to attach it to back of tray. Secure with staples and turn project over to hammer staple ends down against the tray.

Trim cardboard and cardstock to fit inside tray (7 1/2 x 10") and attach cardstock to cardboard with decoupage.

Mix decoupage with a sprinkle of glitter and apply to front of cardstock, let dry and attach to tray with Permanent Glue Dots. Tip: Skip the homemade glitter paper and save time with glittered cardstock.

Attach spider to center of tray with Permanent Glue Dots.

Make a bow with deco mesh tubing by creating 10 loops secured together with a pipe cleaner.

Attach bow to project with wire and hang.

Happy Halloween!
