Do you like the watercolor trend but feel intimidated about experimenting with watercolors? By using a few basic items, dabbling in watercolors for the first time can be easy and fun. This beginner watercolor card is lovely for a friend’s birthday.
Designed by: Melanie East
Time: 25 minutes
Level: Beginner
Size: 4” x 6”
Here's what you do:
Use stamp and ink pad to place the saying in the center of the cream card stock.
With the Craft Dots to adhere the cream card stock to the inside of the card.
With the paintbrush, dabble water over the watercolor pigment until it is the desired color.
Paint the design as desired. Let dry completely. Cut out.
Adhere Craft Dots to the back of the painted design.
Press the painted design to the front of the card.
I am not great at free hand painting, so the DCWV Paint and Create design kit a perfect option for me.
Tip: Use ribbons or washi tape to decorate the front of the card in colors that compliment the watercolor design.
