Time: 15 minutes

Level:  Quick and Easy

Here's what you need:

  • Glue Lines
  • Noise Makers/Squackers from the Dollar Tree
  • Printed Vellum
  • Pearl Bling such as Pearl Bling Strips from Eyelet Outlet
  • Fiskars Scissors
  • Paper
  • Ruler
  • Pencil/eraser

Here's what you do:

Gently remove the card board or foil end from the dollar store squawker. Keep the plastic noise maker.

Using paper, draw a wedge template for your tube, similar to the one shown the picture. Ours is 6 inches long. The short edge is about 2¾ inches and the longer edge is about 4¾ inches wide.

Select a Patterned vellum paper to coordinate with your wedding style and theme. On the BACK side of the vellum, lightly trace the wedge shape. Cut it out with sharp Fiskars scissors.

Place Glue Lines along one long side of the wedge. Roll it into a cone, so that the small edge fits nicely into the plastic noise maker.  Add another Glue Line to secure it into the plastic mouth piece.

Add other embellishments as you see fit to coordinate with your reception. Glue Dots products come in multiple sizes to accommodate a large variety of projects. For this example, we used silver pearls, secured with Mini Dots.

Your wedding guests will welcome the bride and groom with gleeful squawks and hoots…and Glue Dots will take gaudy to elegant in just a few minutes!
