Time: 15 minutes
Level: beginner
Size: 4 x 2.5 inches
Here's what you need:
- Glue Dots® Craft Dots™ or Permanent Glue Squares®
- Glue Dots® Glue Lines™
- Card board tubes: toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, wrapping paper rolls
- DCWV Minty Lace Premium Stack
- Peach embroidery floss
- Raffia
- Decorative washi tape
- Fiskars Paper Trimmer
- Ruler
- EK Success Cutter Bee Scissors
- Bone folder
Here's what you do:
Flatten a toilet paper roll in half and use a bone folder to burnish the fold slightly.
Open the tube slightly. On one side, use your thumb to press in the top edge about ¾ of an inch. Repeat on the other side. Use a Craft Dot to secure the two flaps. Then repeat this process on the other side of the card board tube.
Cut a piece of decorative paper about 3.25 x 5.25 inches. Use Craft Dots secure the decorative paper around the tube. Glue Lines will make the final edge secure and even. Then use some sort of ribbon, raffia, twine, or embroidery floss the tie the package up after you have inserted the treat or gift into the tube.
Tip: Place a Glue Line along the center of the back of the pillow box. Press the end of the skein of embroidery floss in the edge and wrap the string around and around the box until you get to the other end of the Glue Line. Trim with scissors.
This is also a great way to camouflage a gift or favorite candy!
Don't forget to pin it for later!
