I used some buttons to create a one of a kind heart accent for this Valentine’s Day Card.
Here's what you need:
- 1” Glue Lines®
- Mini Glue Dots®
- Pop Up Glue Dots®
- Cardstock (used Kraft and White from WorldWin Papers)
- Patterned paper (used Sweetheart, 6" x 6" paper pad, Doodlebug Design Inc.)
- Stamp (used Big Notes III, Inspired By Stamping)
- Assorted buttons (used Pink, Red and White)
- Chestnut or brown ink
- Pink Twine (used Blossom from The Twinery)
- Die Cut Machine
- Scallop punch
- Scissors
- Paper trimmer
Here's what you do:
- Create the vertical card with the Kraft cardstock.
- Cut and adhere a 4 7/8” x 6” piece of pink patterned paper on the top of the card using 1” Glue Lines. Cut and adhere a 4 7/8” x 2” piece of hearts paper on the bottom of the card with 1” Glue Lines.
- Punch a scallop border from white cardstock, trim to 4 7/8” long and adhere over the hearts paper with 1” Glue Lines.
- Wrap some pink twine around the bottom of the card. Tie the end into a bow.
- Using the negative portion of a die cut heart as a template; fill a white cardstock with buttons using Mini Glue Dots. Trim the white cardstock and adhere to the card using 1” Glue Lines.
- Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock, trim cutting the right side into a notch and adhere to the card using Pop Up Glue Dots.
Who will you give this card to?
