- 7 3/4” x 7 1/4” Wood heart
- Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic Paint in ‘Tompte Red’
- Paper towel
- Paper plate
- 7 small flowers cut 1” wide
- 5 stacking flowers cut 1 1/4” tall
- 10 leaves cut 1 1/8” wide
- USA letters with their shadow cut 5.5” wide x 1.35” tall
Directions:
- Pour a bit of paint on to the paper plate. Use the sponge brush to paint the heart. Front and back and sides. Set aside and let dry.
- With the Glue Dots® Permanent Glue Tape, glue the USA letters to their shadow. Glue the middles of each of the small flowers with a Glue Dots® Mini Dot.
- With the Glue Dots® Mini Dots, glue each layer of the stacking flower from the top down, offsetting as you go to make a fuller flower. Fluff the petals as you go to make a dimensional flower.
- Once your heart is all the way dry, use the filing tool and go along the edges slightly to distress them a bit.
- With a mix of the Glue Dots® Permanent Glue Tape, and Glue Dots® Micro Dots, glue the USA element to the bottom of the heart, keeping in mind that the heart will stand on its side. With the Glue Dots® Mini Dots, add the small flowers along the bottom of the USA.
- Using the Glue Dots® Permanent Glue Tape, glue the leaves in place, then use a Mini Dot to stick the stacked flower to the leaves.
- Fluff the petals of the stacked flower to give a fuller look, and then, your USA Heart is ready to be on display. Happy Fourth!
I began crafting in 1996 and simply fell in love with making my own cards. Long live snail mail! Crafting isn’t just a hobby for me, but a way of life… Teacher gifts, posters, scrapbooks, wood crafts? Yes, please! I have been married to my cute husband for 16 years and he definitely inspires me to try new things and enjoy the little things. As a stay home Mom, my time is spent raising my two girls, and raising the bar for my gift giving!
