We're getting ready for Valentine's Day with a cute arrow kids craft from Creative Maker Kim.
Made By: Kim Rippere
Time: 5-10 minutes
Level: Beginner
Size: Approximately 11" x 2.25"
Here's what you need:
- Mini Glue Dots®
- Pink-Striped Straws
- DCWV Jewel Toned Textured Pink/Light Pink paper
- Pink Flat-backed gems - two sizes
- Scissors
Here's what you do:
To create the feathers, cut a rectangle 2.25" x 4.75" from pink paper and fold in half lengthwise. Cut one end off at approx. a 45º angle. Then cut parallel lines down the length, approximately .25" apart, but do not cut through the fold.
To create the feather hearts, cut three hearts from the paper about 1" square. Using Mini Glue Dots, attach a flat-backed gem to the center of each heart.
To create the arrow, cut two different size hearts from the paper and adhere them together in a stack with Mini Glue Dots.
Put three Mini Glue Dots on the straw on one end, covering a 2" area and attach the feather, as shown.
Attach the hearts to the straw as shown with Mini Glue Dots.
Use either format of Mini Glue Dots below to complete this project:
I live with my partner (Edward), 2 indoor cats, 2 outdoor feral cats I am luring, and a dog in the far southwest corner of Georgia. I have been creating for my whole life, from quilts, to locker hooking, to interior decorating, to paper crafting! The list was just growing and growing. I decided that I need to focus on something and choose paper crafting…which has now grown into card making, quilling, mixed media, artist trading cards, altered art, and swapping! lol.
