Kim Rippere shows you how to turn a Silhoutte file into a Valentine's Day card using Ultra-Thin Glue Dots® and paper from DCWV.
Time: 5-10 minutes
Level: Beginner
Size: 4 x 3.5 inches
Here's what you need:
- Ultra-Thin Glue Dots®
- DCWV Jewel Toned Textured Pink/Light Pink Paper
- Silhouette and Silhouette file (modified to add the heart card)
Here's what you do:
To size the heart, copy the cut file, delete/move all the lines that aren't part of the heart, and size down 80%. Now you have the heart card!
Using DCWV - Jewel Toned Textured Pink/Light Pink paper cut the pocket and card. With the darker side of the paper face up, fold along all the creases/dotted lines.
Place Ultra-Thin Glue Dots® in the triangle areas to the left and right of the heart, fold along the middle, as shown and press toward the center.
Finally, place Ultra-Thin Glue Dots® under the triangle and press down and then insert the heart card into the pocket.
I live with my partner (Edward), 2 indoor cats, 2 outdoor feral cats I am luring, and a dog in the far southwest corner of Georgia. I have been creating for my whole life, from quilts, to locker hooking, to interior decorating, to paper crafting! The list was just growing and growing. I decided that I need to focus on something and choose paper crafting…which has now grown into card making, quilling, mixed media, artist trading cards, altered art, and swapping! lol.
