Designer Grace is on our blog with a clover tag set using Oly*Fun material and paper from DCWV. The best part? All of the materials for this project are available at your local Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Store!
Time: Approximately 8 minutes (per tag)
Level: Beginner
Size: 6” x 2 ½”
I used some glittered paper in gold and created my own clover leaf accents to make these adorable gift tags.
Here's what you need:
- 1" Glue Lines®
- Permanent or Mini Glue Dots®
- Kiwi Oly*Fun material from Fairfield
- Glitter paper from DCWV
- Buttons
- Ribbon
- Twine
- Stamp
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- Black ink pad
Here's what you do:
- Cut the tags from DCWV glitter paper to 6" x 2 1/2" size.
- Hand cut four small hearts from the Kiwi Oly*Fun material.
- Adhere the hearts onto the center of the tag using 1" Glue Lines to form a clover.
- Thread the twine through the button, letting one long end hang on the bottom of the tag. Adhere to the center of the card using Permanent or Mini Glue Dots.
- Add Mini Glue Dots near the bottom of the tag to keep the twine from moving around.
- Stamp the sentiment onto white paper, trim, cut one end into a notch and adhere to the tag (covering the adhesive holding the twine in place). Use a 1" Glue Line or Permanent Glue Dots to secure.
- Punch out a hole in the top center of the tag and thread some white grosgrain ribbon through it. Trim the ends.
- Repeat the process for how many tags you need to make.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
