Designer Erin Bullock is on our blog today with a home decor project. Grab your Glue Dots!
Time: 60 minutes
Level: Advanced
Size: 12" x 12"
Don't let the original purpose or look for materials confine your creativity! Look beyond what the project was meant to be, and make it your own.
Here's what you need:
- Micro Glue Dots®
- Craft Glue Dots®
- Ultra-Thin Glue Dots®
- Glue Dots® Advanced Strength Dispenser
- 3D Wall Art
- Patterned paper
- Dictionary pages
- Butterfly Punch
- Printer
- Paint brush
- Scissors (regular and non-stick)
- Pitt Artist Pens
- White and black doodle pens
Here's what you do:
- Cut patterned paper to fit board slats and adhere with Ultra-Thin Glue Dots.
- Use the Advanced Strength Dispenser to adhere the boards to slats.
- Cut dress, clovers, and clouds from patterned paper. Cut head, arms, and legs from dictionary pages and adhere to the base with Ultra-Thin Glue Dots.
- Use the Pitt white and black doodle pens to shade and outline shapes.
- Use punch to cut out butterflies. Fold wings up to be 3-D and adhere using Micro Glue Dots.
- Print sentiment and adhere to base with Craft Glue Dots.
Glue Dots allow assembling the base of this project super simple and quick! The Micro Glue Dots enable the butterflies to pop off the project, but still keep them well secured.
