Get creative with your homemade Easter cards! Make egg cards for the kids with Glue Dots and other supplies from Hobby Lobby.
Here's what you need:
- 1" Glue Lines®
- Yellow Cardstock (we used yellow glitter paper)
- Blue Cardstock
- Pink Cardstock
- Ribbon or Washi Tape
- Scissors
Here's what you do:
- Cut 1 egg shape out of a piece of yellow cardstock to create the inside of the card.
- Cut 2 more egg shapes about 1/2" larger on each side out of blue or pink cardstock. This will be your egg shell.
- Take one of the larger egg shapes and apply 1" Glue Lines around the outer edge.
- Adhere the matching egg shapes together, pressing firmly around the edges to secure the bond.
- Cut a jagged line horizontally through the middle of the two eggs adhered together to create the envelope.
- Secure ribbon with 1" Glue Lines along the jagged edge. Exploring layering the ribbon to add depth.
- Write a personal greeting on the yellow egg and slide it into the jagged opening to close the card.
All of the materials for this project are available at your local:
