Origami Valentine's Day Note

Designer Dawn is on our blog today with a unique twist on a Valentine's Day card. Let someone steal your heart this year, your origami heart.

If you want to send your valentine a little money instead of a sweet treat or flowers, here is a crafty way to present your gift. (A good idea for someone who is watching their calories or has food allergies!)

Here's what you do:Valentine's Day Origami Card Supplies

  1. Using paper from DCWV's Prism Play, cut your card base to 4" x 8" inches and then score it in half. Cut another patterned paper to 3.25" x 3.25" square. Cut a piece of white card stock to mat the square...3.5" x 3.5" inches.
  2. Stamp or print off your Valentine Sentiment.
  3. Use Permanent or Craft Glue Dots  to adhere your layers together and add the sentiment.
  4. Below is the YouTube video I used to create the heart for this project; however there are several different versions, so find one you like. :-)
  5. Once your heart has been made, use Removable Glue Dots to secure it the front of the card and use Mini Glue Dots to adhere sequins or other small embellishments.

That's it! Who will you give your heart to?
