Rustic Barn Sign

Add a bit of country chic to your decor with the earthy tones from rough, natural wood paired with an elegant hand-painted message.  We'll show you how quick and easy it is for you to make a rustic looking barn sign for your home using Glue Dots and few extra supplies from your local hardware store.

Here’s what you need:

• Glue Dots® Advanced Strength Double-Sided Sheets
• 4 Old Barn Boards (different sizes, about 1/2" x 5" x 20-24")
• 2 Small Wood Boards (or scrap wood pieces about 2" x 12")
• 2 D-Ring Hangers
• Scissors
• Paint Brush
• White Paint
• Hammer
• Small Nails
• Thin Scrap board

Here’s what you do:

Clean off any dust that may be on the boards and lay them out how you want them aligned.

Cut Advanced Strength Double-Sided Sheets into strips as wide as your boards. Remove the liner from the strips and press the adhesive firmly into place along the edges of the boards and then adhere the boards together.

On the back, nail two small boards perpendicular for extra stability. Nail the D-Ring hangers to the back.

By hand, paint your message on the front of your wood boards.  Let dry completely before hanging up.
