Julie Bonnar from CraftFocus in the UK shows you how to make Scandi Style Christmas cards using free printables from Glue Dots. Find the card you want to make, download the free printable and follow the instructions. Printables are set to International A4 Standard.
BAUBLE TRIO CARD
- Blank card: 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm (5.3 in x 5.3 in)
- Mini Glue Dots®
- Textured card/cardstock
- Coloured paper
- Twine
- Gold pen
- Scissors
- Template: Christmas Bauble
- Using circular templates, cut out 2 large circles from Kraft brown textured paper, 2 medium circles from red coloured paper and 3 small circles from green coloured paper.
- Decorate circles with gold pen while flat.
- Fold circles in half with decorated sides together. Glue two halves of the circles together.
- Arrange baubles on card front at different heights and glue onto card using Mini Glue Dots.
- Cut pieces of twine long enough to secure from top of bauble to top of card.
- Attach twine to the back of the bauble and glue in place using Mini Glue Dots
- Create 3 twine bows and attach.
ABSTRACT CHRISTMAS TREE CARD
- Blank card: 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm (5.3 in x 5.3 in)
- Craft Glue Dots®
- Textured card/cardstock
- Coloured paper
- Gold pen
- Scissors
- Templates: scalene triangles
- Using the tree templates, cut three triangles from the textured card/cardstock and paper.
- Using a Craft Glue Dots’ dispenser, secure large triangle perpendicular to bottom edge.
- Placing middle size triangle overlapping the first triangle with longest edge to the left side.
- Do the same with small triangle but with longest edge to the right.
- Finish by decorating triangle edges with a dotted line using gold pen.
CHRISTMAS PRESENT CARD
- Blank card: 13.5cm x 13.5cm (5.3 in x 5.3 in)
- Craft Glue Dots®
- Textured card/cardstock
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Cut out a 8 cm (3.1 in) square from the Kraft-brown textured card/cardstock.
- Cut 1 piece of ribbon approx. 10 cm (3.9 in) long and glue from top to bottom around the square.
- Take a piece of ribbon at least 30 cm (11.8 in) long, fold in half, tie together as you would shoelaces.
- To create V-shape ends, fold the ends in half and cut downwards at a 45-degree angle.
- Secure bow to centre of parcel and glue parcel to the card.
CHRISTMAS HEART CARD
- Blank card: 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm (5.3 in x 5.3 in)
- Mini Glue Dots®
- Wrapping paper
- Gold pen
- Scissors
- Template: heart
- Cut out heart per template instructions.
- Fold the wrapping paper in half, place template on the fold and cut out.
- Open out the heart and finger press the creases away.
- Using a Mini Glue Dots’ dispenser, glue the heart to the card.
- Finish decorating by adding a dotted line on the inside of the heart with gold pen.
CHRISTMAS STAR CARD
- Blank card: 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm (5.3 in x 5.3)
- Craft Glue Dots®
- Wrapping paper
- Card/cardstock
- Gold pen
- Scissors
- Templates: 5-point star
- Using the templates, cut a star from wrapping paper.
- Repeat for small star from the white textured card/cardstock.
- Using a Craft Glue Dots’ dispenser, glue small star ontop of the large star.
- Glue large star onto card.
- Finish decorating by adding a dotted line border around both stars using gold pen.
