This Halloween, we're bringing back one of our most popular crafts that you can do with your kids - Monster Jars! Grab your Glue Dots and your favorite candy and get ready to make these cute monster jars for your Halloween party, classroom, or just for fun!
Time: 20 minutes
Level: Beginner
Here's what you'll need:
- Pop Up Glue Dots®
- Craft Glue Dots®
- Glue Dots® Glue Lines®
- Eye'm Watching You paper from SEI
- Scary Story Cards from Echo Park
- Black marker
- White marker
- Glitter or Sparkly Fluff
- Corked bottles
- Black paint
- Corked bottles or jars
- Jute
- Ink
Here's what you do:
- Cut a monster body out of solid cardstock.
- Ink the outside edges of their body.
- Cut eyes out of Eye'm Watching You paper by SEI and attach using Craft Glue Dots.
- Draw in mouth with black marker and use a white marker to add teeth.
- Attach Pop Up Glue Dots on the monster's body and sprinkle with glitter or Sparkly Fluff.
- Cut out arms, legs and hair out of black and attach to the monster.
- Attach the monsters to the jar using 1" Glue Lines.
- Paint corks with black paint and fill the jars with candy.
- Cut tags out of Scary Story Cards paper from Echo Park and mat on cardstock.
- Tie jute around the top of bottle several times and attach tags.
Don't forget to fill your jars with tasty treats for your ghosts!
