Wooden Easter Decor

Designer Grace is on our blog today with a wooden Easter decor project! Grab the Glue Dots, we're getting crafty!

I got an unfinished Spring wood kit from my local craft store on clearance after the holidays was over. I used some papers and paint to cover the pieces and I know that this décor will last a long time.

Here's what you need:

• Glue Dots® Advanced Strength Dispenser
• Ultra-Thin Glue Dots®
• Micro Glue Dots®
• Pop Up Glue Dots®
• Unfinished wood kit
• Patterned papers (I used Prism Play by DCWV)
• Paint (I used Lime Green by Plaid Enterprises)
• Rhinestones or mini jewels
• Black Pen
• Sanding block
• Craft Knife
• Scissors

Here's what you do: 

1. Using Ultra-Thin Glue Dots, adhere patterned paper onto the wooden egg. Trim the excess paper using a craft knife. Sand the edges for a finished look. Repeat the process for the wood stick.
2. Paint the wood letters green. Give it a few coats to cover all the wood.
3. Once dried, add a coating of glitter glue for some shimmer. Adhere the letters to the wooden egg using the Advanced Strength dispenser.
4. Cover the wood bunny with paper using Ultra-Thin Glue Dots making sure to trim the excess paper around the shape and sanding the edges.
5. Add a coating of glitter glue on the top of the paper as well then adhere to the egg shape with the Advanced Strength dispenser.
6. Cut out a hot air balloon image from patterned paper with scissors. Adhere to the wood shape using Pop Up Glue Dots.
7. Add rhinestones to the bunny and hot air balloon with Micro Glue Dots.
8. Add pen lines to the edges of the egg and stick shapes.
9. Adhere the stick to the bottom of the wooden egg using the Advanced Strength dispenser.
