Mother's Day Fresh Flower & Photograph Card
Posted on Apr 30, 2017 6:45:00 AM by Robyn PowerAs a mother, I love getting personalized cards, so this Mother's Day card I am sharing today is right after my own heart. I think you'll love it too! It includes a photograph of a loved one and a fresh flower too, so what mother won't like receiving this card?
Made by: Robyn
Time: 15 minutes (plus picture printing time)
Level: Beginner
Size: varies
Here's what you need:
- Craft Glue Dots®
- Desktop Dispenser (optional)
- DCWV Patterned Cardstock
- Fresh flower
- Photograph
- Scissors
- Marker
- Exacto knife
Here's what you do:
Take a photograph of you child (or of whomever is giving the card) with their arm outstretched and hand in a fist, so that it looks as if they are holding something out to give you as you take the picture. See original photo below. Print out the photo.
Cut a tiny slit above and below the fist in the photograph. Make sure the slits are big enough to hold your fresh flower without tearing the photo.
Cut patterned cardstock to the size you want to make the card. I used two different colors of cardstock and left one larger on top of the picture, so that my child could personalize the card with her own handwriting. You can print out a greeting and attach instead if you prefer.
Adhere all pieces of cardstock together with your Craft Glue Dots.
Slide the stem of the flower through the slits, making sure the slits are big enough to hold the flower without tearing the photo.
Adhere the photograph with the flower to your card with Craft Glue Dots and then add your sentiment to the card!
I love this card! So simple and easy to make, yet will bring huge smiles both from the one giving the card and especially from the one receiving it. And every mother needs to smile more!
Happy Mothers Day!
~Robyn
P.S. Don't forget to save it for later!
