Paper Scrap Wine Bottle Christmas Tree Decoration
Posted on Jul 26, 2017 6:04:00 AM by Robyn PowerAre you getting ready for Christmas? I love getting out the Christmas decorations and seeing how they get everyone in the Christmas spirit. Here's a little papercraft that is easy and can be a great addition to your Christmas decor.
Made by: Robyn
Time: 30-45 minutes
Level: Beginner
Size: varies to the size of bottle used
Here's what you need:
- Glue Dots® Craft Dots™ (you can also use Glue Squares® and All Purpose Dots™)
- glass "wine" bottle
- DCWV designer cardstock
- Scissors/Paper cutter
Here's what you do:
Take your 12" x 12" paper and cut it in half, so that it is 12" x 6".
Cut the 12" x 6" paper into strips that are 3/4" wide. (Leave them 6 inches long.)
Take your paper strips and curl one end around a pencil.
Place a glue dot on the other end of the paper strip that isn't curled, and adhere it to the bottle. Start at the bottom, working all the way around, placing them next to each other.
Work your way up doing the same as step 3 and 4 making rows on top of one another, until you reach the top of the bottle.
These are so easy that even your children can help you make these fun Christmas trees. And you can change up the paper to match any decor.

Hi! I’m Robyn and blog over at Create it. Go! I live in beautiful Northwest Arkansas and love being outside. I’m a mom to five fun, crazy kiddos that I love, ranging in age from 16 down to 4. And I’m a wife to a man that I love laughing wtih! I love to create. I love papercrafting, working with wood, upcycles, repuposes, and DIY’s, crafting anything in general, trying out new recipes, sewing, photography, you name it! I also like to pick up a good book and ignore those dishes and laundry that never seem to go away. haha My life is never boring and can almost always use some re-balancing and simplifying. It’s not perfect, but I love it!
